Clinical Biostatistician in Ophthalmology

targomed has been a trusted partner in the field of medical writing and clinical studies for over a decade. We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Biostatistician in Ophthalmology (f/m/d) to join our team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trial data,
    contributing to the advancement of our research initiatives
  • Conduct statistical analyses using appropriate methods and software (preferred R)
  • Design statistical analysis plans(SAP) for clinical studies
  • Perform sample size calculationsusing appropriate statistical methods
  • Collaborate with clinical teamsto define endpoints and statistical methodologies
  • Support the preparation of clinical investigation reports (CIR)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements  (e.g., ICH-GCP) and internal standards
  • Participate in the development of study protocols
  • Work in close collaboration with Clinical Data Manager, Clinical Project Lead and Medical Writing Team

Your Qualifications:

  • Master / Bachelor degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field
  • Statistical Skills:Strong background in statistics / biostatistics and proven experience in performing data analysis / statistical analysis in ‘R’ (or similar platform) and professional use of MS Excel.
  • Experience in analyzing clinical trial data, ideally in ophthalmology, is a plus
  • Soft Skills: Motivated, open-minded, communicative, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English is essential; German is a plus.
